Lupa Tech in a browser

A tour of Lupa Tech, the technician view at /tech: the schedule, clients, messages, notifications and your own settings.

Lupa Tech runs in any modern browser — a laptop in the office, a tablet in the truck, or the browser on a phone. On an iPhone, this is how you work: open your company's Lupa address in the phone's browser and sign in.

Who sees Lupa Tech

Technicians land here when they sign in. Lupa Dash is for admins and owners: a technician who opens it is sent back to Lupa Tech. Admins and owners can open /tech too. For them the Schedule carries a banner linking to Dispatch, and Clients and Comms list every client in the company.

Find your way around

The left rail holds everything. On a narrow screen the rail folds away: tap the menu button at the top left to open it, and the ✕ to close it.

Rail item What it is
Comms Customer texts and email. A red badge counts the clients with unread messages. See Messaging customers from Lupa Tech.
Clients Client records: contact details, service locations, pets, and a price calculator.
Schedule Your day — where Lupa Tech opens. See Your day in Lupa Tech.
Theme Switches between light, dark and your device's setting.
Notifications Your notification feed. A badge shows how many are waiting; while an alarm is waiting it turns red and counts only the alarms.
Settings Your own profile and password.
Sign out Ends your session.
Connected The live-connection light: green when connected, red when Disconnected, amber while Connecting.
Collapse Shrinks the rail to icons; Expand brings the labels back.

Schedule

Schedule shows one day at a time: visits booked to you, and open work that nobody holds yet. From here you move between days, put your stops in order, book a visit, and work each visit through On My Way, Start, Complete or Skip. The Schedule / Map switch at the top shows the same day as a list or as numbered pins on a map.

Clients

Clients lists the clients your work touches: anyone with a visit booked to you, anyone with a visit in the open pool, and the lead client of a recurring schedule that is yours or nobody's. The list follows the work — when a visit is booked to you, its client appears.

To add a client, choose the + (Add client) at the top of the list, fill in Name and any of Phone, Email, About this person and Referral Source, and choose Create. A client you add appears in your list once work is booked there that ties them to you.

Select a client to open their record. From it you can:

  • edit their details and choose Save Changes;
  • choose Message to jump to their conversation in Comms;
  • choose Calculate price to price a job from your company's pricing;
  • add, edit and remove pets, when the client leads one service location. A client who leads several locations shows Pets by location instead; a client who leads none has no pets section.

To work on the client's account — its name and notes, a second contact, a new or changed service location, a property's access instructions, or the pets at a location — open the account view. See Accounts and service locations in Lupa Tech.

Technicians cannot delete clients or visits; those are office actions.

Comms

Comms is your company's shared customer inbox, limited to the same clients as Clients. Each client's conversation has three tabs: Activity, Texts and Email. See Messaging customers from Lupa Tech.

Notifications

To see your notifications, choose Notifications in the rail. The feed lists the ones you have not yet acknowledged — for example, a visit assigned to you.

  • Choose a notification to jump to the day or the client it is about.
  • Choose Ack to acknowledge it, or Dismiss to clear it.

Times in the feed are shown in UTC.

Settings

To change your own details, choose Settings in the rail. You can change:

  • Name, Email and Phone — then choose Save profile;
  • Day starts at and Day ends at — your working day. Leave them blank to use the default; the end has to be after the start;
  • Personal timezone override — leave blank to use your company's timezone;
  • your password, under Change password — at least 12 characters — then choose Update.

A change to Day starts at reaches your schedule the next time you open Lupa Tech.
