Changing a schedule

Change a running schedule's rhythm, technician or requested time, or move it to another address on the same account.

Changes apply from today forward. Visits on earlier dates keep what they have.

Change the rhythm, technician or time

To change a schedule:

  1. Open Recurring and choose Edit on the schedule's card.
  2. Change the Cadence and what it asks for, the Start Date, the Default Tech or the Client-requested time (optional).
  3. Choose Save.
  4. Confirm the warning.

What happens to visits already on the board depends on what you changed:

You changed Visits already on the board
The cadence, its days or anchor, or the start date From today on, unconfirmed visits the new rule no longer produces are removed. Visits already confirmed with the client are kept, even if the new rule would not produce their date.
Only the Default Tech Upcoming confirmed visits move to the new technician, and dates the schedule has not yet put on the board go to them too, unless the location belongs to a route. Unconfirmed visits already on the board keep their technician. Nothing is removed. The previous and the new technician are each notified.
The rule and the Default Tech together Treated as a rule change, as above. Upcoming confirmed visits still move to the new technician, but neither technician is notified.
Only the Client-requested time Nothing changes on visits already on the board; visits produced from now on carry the new time.

To change the Default Tech and the Client-requested time, save each change as a separate edit.

The warning before saving reads: Save this schedule change? Unconfirmed future visits this rule no longer produces will be removed. Visits already confirmed with the client are kept.

A cancelled schedule has no Edit button.

If you see "This schedule was changed elsewhere — review before saving." Someone else changed this schedule while you had it open. Choose Cancel, open it again with Edit, and redo your change, so you do not save over theirs.

Move a schedule to a different address

A schedule can move to another service location on the same account — a site closes and the same work moves two streets over.

Moving a schedule to another service area — 9 s, silent.

To move a schedule:

  1. Open Recurring and choose Edit on the schedule's card.
  2. Pick the new address in Service location, at the top of the edit form.

The move is saved as soon as you pick, with the message Schedule moved to new location. Future visits will reflect the change. Visits already on the board keep the location they were created at; visits produced from now on are at the new one.

If there is no Service location picker. The picker appears only when the schedule's account has more than one location. To move a schedule to a new address, first add the address to the account — see Accounts and service locations. A schedule cannot move to another account's location.

On the phone

An admin can change a schedule from the customer's screen in the phone app with Edit Recurring (or Manage Recurring when the customer has several): cadence, days of week, Start date and End date (optional), then Save Changes. Schedules on a monthly, custom or one-off cadence are edited on the web.
