If you run dispatch¶
Task-by-task help for the person who books the work, places it on people's days, and moves it when the day changes.
Running dispatch is a job, not a role. Anyone with an admin account — the owner included — can do it; it happens on the Dispatch tab of Lupa Dash, in a web browser. Technician accounts cannot open Lupa Dash, and the phone app has no dispatch board.
The Dispatch tab has three views behind one toggle at the top of the panel:
- Chart — one lane per person across the day, with the Open pool of unassigned work down the left.
- Map — the same day drawn on a map.
- Routes — the areas of town you serve, and the addresses nobody has decided about yet.

| Drop one visit of a recurring schedule | Booking and changing visits |
| See who is late and who has room | The dispatch board |
| Look at one person's whole day | The dispatch board |
| Work my own visits as well as dispatching | The dispatch board |
| Give a visit to someone else | Moving work between people |
| Put a visit back for anyone to take | Moving work between people |

What the technician sees¶
Every change you make on the board reaches the technician's schedule on the web and on the phone. A technician who is given a visit, loses one, or has one moved back to the open pool from the board gets a notification. Visits a move pushes later on their day, or off a full day back to the open pool, send no notification, and neither does handing a whole route over with Reassign to… — tell the people affected. What they do next — confirm, decline, claim open work, work the visit — is covered in the technician help:
- Claiming, confirming and turning down work
- Working a visit
- Taking and handing back work on the phone
