Joining a company you were invited to

How to accept an invite and create your Lupa account.

How it works. There is no public sign-up. When an admin invites you, Lupa emails you an invite with a one-time link. Opening that link lets you set your name and password; your account is created in the company that invited you, with the role the invite carried — Technician or Admin. The link works once and expires after seven days.

To accept an invite

  1. Open the email titled Lupa invitation and follow the link in it.
  2. The page reads Join followed by the company's name, and says which role you were invited as. The Email is already filled in and cannot be changed.
  3. Enter Your name and a Password of at least 12 characters.
  4. Choose Accept invite.

What you'll see. A welcome message, and you are signed in straight away:

  • A technician lands on their schedule in Lupa Tech.
  • An admin lands in the first-run setup wizard if the company is not fully set up yet, and on Lupa Dash otherwise.

If the email didn't arrive. Ask the admin who invited you. They can choose Resend on your pending invite under Team, which emails you a fresh link. As a fallback, the admin is shown the invite link once, at the moment the invite is created, and can copy it and send it to you another way.

If the link says it is no longer valid. The sign-in page shows This invite is invalid or has expired. The invite was already used, has passed its seven days, was revoked, or was replaced — choosing Resend, or inviting the same email again, issues a new link and the old one stops working. Ask the office for a fresh invite and use the newest email.

If the page shows an error when you accept. Check that your password is at least 12 characters and that you filled in your name, then choose Accept invite again.

For admins: sending an invite

Invites are created on the Team tab of Lupa Dash, or on the Team step of the setup wizard. Only admins can invite. The invite email goes out automatically when you create the invite; you do not need to pass the link on yourself. See Inviting people.
