Taking and handing back work

Claim unassigned work from Open Pool, accept or take over a proposed visit, and decline a visit booked to you on a later day.

Claim open work

Open Pool lists today's work that nobody holds yet. The count at the top reads Available. Work on a route that nobody staffs is grouped under the route's name; other visits are listed one by one, marked Unassigned or Proposed.

To claim one visit

  1. Open Open Pool.
  2. Tap Claim on the visit.

To claim a whole route

  1. Open Open Pool.
  2. Find the route group. It shows the number of stops and the first few clients.
  3. Tap Claim route.

What you'll see. The work leaves the pool for everyone else and joins your Agenda. Claim route takes every stop the route has in the pool right now; the route itself stays unstaffed. See Routes.

If it says "No unclaimed visits." There is no open work today.

If it says "Could not claim". Someone else may have taken it first, or the app could not reach Lupa. The message under the title gives Lupa's reason. Pull the list down to refresh it.

If it says "Could not load the open pool." Pull the list down to try again.

Accept or take over a proposed visit

A Proposed visit is one a repeating schedule has put forward but nobody has committed to yet.

To answer a proposal from the visit screen

  1. Tap the proposed visit to open it.
  2. Tap Confirm This Visit to accept it as proposed, or Claim Instead to take it outright.

To confirm from the agenda. Page Agenda to a later day. Proposed visits for that day carry a Confirm button. On today's agenda you see only work that is already yours; today's proposals are in Open Pool.

Decline a visit booked to you

You can hand back a visit that is booked to you and dated after today.

To decline a visit

  1. Page Agenda to the visit's day and tap Decline on it — or open the visit and tap Decline Visit.
  2. Tap Decline to confirm.

What you'll see. The visit reads Declined, and the change reaches the office at once.

  • Decline is never offered on today's agenda. Once the day has arrived, you can't hand its work back from the phone — call the office.
  • Decline appears only on a visit that reads Scheduled. A visit you claimed or confirmed reads Confirmed and can't be declined from the phone — call the office.
  • The app does not ask for a reason. If the office needs one, message them.
